The January recruitment period is always a time of feverish rumour and possible big-money deals. Several high-profile players are being linked with transfers out of their present teams. Here is a look at a selection of the major names who might be changing clubs this month.

A. Semenyo

Although Ghana's failure to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, which has left the player available, indications are a significant move is imminent. The Bournemouth attacker has a contract with a substantial buy-out clause applicable for a short window in early January. Recent developments indicate the Premier League champions have emerged as his services. Other interested parties like Chelsea and Tottenham are said to have moved on to alternative options, potentially opening the door for teams such as Liverpool or Manchester United to attempt a last-minute move.

Marc Guéhi

This English defender has excel for Palace despite a previous transfer to Liverpool falling through. As his deal due to expire in the summer, this represents the London club's final opportunity to secure a fee for their captain. A host of elite sides, such as Manchester City and several European giants like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, are believed to be interested. Yet, a January exit is considered unlikely, especially given the coach's dependence on the player.

Brennan Johnson

This Welsh forward has had starting minutes hard to come by at Spurs this campaign. Despite finishing as the side's top scorer the previous campaign, he has started just a handful of league games. It is understood the London outfit is willing to consider a transfer for the correct price, thought to be in the region of £40 million. The Cherries appear to be leading the chase, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford additionally credited with an interest.

Spurs value the Welsh international at approximately forty million pounds.

R. Neves

The Portuguese midfielder could be poised for a return to the Premier League following a spell in Saudi Arabia. Now only twenty-eight, while his contract expiring in the summer, he represents a potential bargain. Clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United have been connected to the player.
